Residence Inn Arlington Rosslyn Overview

First Impressions

The Residence Inn Arlington Rosslyn sits right in the heart of one of Arlington’s most connected neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone makes this three-star extended-stay hotel worth considering. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Rosslyn Metro station — I could practically see the orange and blue line trains from my window. The building itself has that modern, clean-lined look that Marriott does well, though it won’t win any architectural awards. What struck me immediately was how quiet it felt inside despite being surrounded by the urban buzz of this business district.

The Suite Life

Here’s what I love about this place — every room is actually a suite with a full kitchen. We’re talking real appliances here, not some sad mini-fridge situation. I had a one-bedroom unit with granite countertops, full-size refrigerator, stovetop, and even a dishwasher. The living area felt spacious enough to actually relax in, with a decent-sized couch and work desk. The bed was surprisingly comfortable too — apparently other guests have raved about the sleep quality, and I can see why. The whole setup makes you feel less like you’re camping out in a hotel and more like you’ve got a temporary home base.

Location Perks

You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You can walk to Georgetown in about fifteen minutes across the Key Bridge, which gives you this gorgeous view of the Potomac. The Rosslyn Metro stop is maybe a two-minute walk, so getting into DC proper is ridiculously easy. There’s also this whole underground network of shops and restaurants right beneath the office buildings — perfect when the weather’s not cooperating. I noticed a lot of couples during my stay, and honestly, the area does have this nice urban sophistication that works well for a romantic weekend.

Daily Fuel

The complimentary breakfast actually impressed me more than I expected. They do this American buffet spread that goes beyond the usual continental fare — scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and decent coffee. I’m usually skeptical of hotel breakfasts, but this one felt substantial enough to fuel a full day of sightseeing. The dining area gets busy around 8 AM with business travelers, so I learned to hit it either early or closer to 9:30 when things calmed down.

Why Guests Love It

The parking situation here deserves a mention — having guaranteed hotel parking in this part of Arlington is actually a big deal, especially if you’re planning day trips around the region. What really sets this place apart though is how it bridges that gap between hotel convenience and apartment-style living. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and the whole property feels well-maintained without being stuffy. For the price point and location, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it’s hard to beat the value proposition here.

Great location and price. We had a room with a full bed and foldout couch. It was adequate but very cramped. The cabinetry in the kitchen and bathroom were very dated and were past their prime. Short walk to the subway and lots of restaurants in the area was very convenient but the room was not particularly inviting.

  • Ajaz from United Kingdom (8/10)

Nice room with useful kitchen facilities. Large fridge to keep our drinks and snacks cool and fresh. Sufficient space for the family. Breakfast was nice.
